The Douglas County Fair was July 13-15, 2018. Dvorak Law Group, LLC, is the official law firm of the fair. The firm also sponsored the ‘preview fair kickoff party’ after the ribbon cutting, which was on Thursday, July 12. In attendance at both the ribbon cutting and preview party, was Governor Pete Ricketts, Nebraska Department of Agriculture Director Steve Wellman, Nebraska Extension Dean Chuck Hibbard, University of Nebraska Regent Hal Daub, and others. David M. Dvorak also participated in the ribbon cutting. Dvorak Law Group employees also donated their time by volunteering for the fair. Jesse Campbell, communications director, announced the parade, beef, and sheep shows. Attorneys, David M. Dvorak, Brenda K. Smith, Zachary D. Petersen, Julie Schultz Self, Jaynee M. Tyler, and Nicholas T. Dafney assisted and walked in the parade. The Douglas County Fair is the oldest county fair in Nebraska and held the 139th fair. This year, the fair was held at two locations: Village Pointe shopping center and Chance Ridge event center. ‘Where Urban and Rural Meet’ is the tagline of the fair.
