FarmHer is an organization that highlights women in agriculture through photography and a TV series on RFD-TV. They hosted an event ‘I Am FarmHer’ in Kansas City on June 25 – 27, 2018. Topics discussed were agriculture policy, marketing, and women’s health. Jesse Campbell, director of communications with Dvorak Law Group, attended the event. Women from all over the country were able to connect and network. Speakers included Chris Chinn, Missouri Director of Agriculture; Dr. Barb Glenn, CEO of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture; Julie Anna Potts, Executive Vice President of the American Farm Bureau Federation; Holly Hoffman, South Dakota rancher and finalist of Season 21 of CBS’ “Survivor Nicaragua”; and many more. “It was a great opportunity to meet women in agriculture from across the nation. There were blueberry farmers, honey producers, row crop farmers, pig farmers, ranchers, agriculture brokers, and many more. I was able to learn the status of agriculture policy and hear firsthand what issues are affecting farmers, ranchers, and agriculture businesses,” said Campbell. Over 150 women attended the conference.
