Dvorak Law Group is seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to join our law firm’s Omaha office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day administrative and clerical support for attorneys and paralegals within the firm. The work requires an ability to critically assess and anticipate attorney needs in serving clients and managing workloads, and involves the following job duties, in addition to others that may be assigned to meet business needs.


  • Create and edit legal documents by transcribing dictation or following written or verbal directions.
  • Coordinate and handle electronic filing of pleadings and other legal documents.
  • Fax, scan and photocopy documents; maintain efficient and organized files.
  • Assist in client communications and meetings as necessary.
  • Coordinate client meetings and maintain calendars for attorneys and paralegals.
  • Schedule and maintain reservations for conference rooms.
  • Operate a variety of standard office machines, including a computer, copier, fax, scanner and others.
  • Assist with special projects/assignments as requested.
  • Comply with the Employee Handbook and other firm procedures.


  • Effective time management skills and ability to complete projects within deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all members of the firm.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a professional, constructive and courteous manner
  • Skill in the use of various computer software programs (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, document management software, etc.).
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, legal forms, documents, practices and procedures.
  • Skill in organization and critical thinking.
  • Ability to create documents using correct spelling, grammar and punctuation; review legal documents to identify inaccuracies or omissions; pay attention to detail in all work and see work through to its logical conclusion.
  • Ability to confidently and effectively interact with clients, attorneys and other employees in a team environment, maintaining confidentiality and using discretion and tact.
  • Knowledge of general office processes and procedures.
