Biography

Zach Petersen advises affluent individuals and families on intricate estate and personal planning, such as drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents. Additionally, he supports clients with estate and trust administration, advanced tax planning related to family business entities, sales and loans, insurance planning, and charitable contributions. In his corporate practice, he helps clients with business entity formation, corporate governance, business succession planning, supply chain management, and reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various business contracts.

Representative Experience

• Supports individuals and families in handling fundamental estate planning tasks such as drafting wills, revocable living trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance directives.
• Counsels and guides clients on sophisticated wealth transfer planning and business succession planning issues, involving the creation and execution of dynasty trusts, irrevocable gifting trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and the use of limited liability companies to enable such transfers.
• Assists clients in corporate advisory and structuring matters, encompassing business entity establishment, upkeep of corporate governance, buy-sell arrangements, and pre-liquidity event planning.
