Biography

Ryan Coufal represents clients in commercial and business litigation matters. In his practice, he handles a wide range of legal issues that business and individuals may encounter, such as breaches of contracts, negligence, insurance disputes, construction disputes, and employment and labor disputes. He uses his expertise to develop a legal strategy that will enable his clients to achieve their desired outcome, whether through negotiation, mediation, or trial. Ryan guides clients through the entire litigation process, from initial negotiations to starting litigation, managing discovery, participating in trials or mediations, and if needed, navigating the appellate process.

Ryan also represents clients in complicated probate and trust proceedings, including contested guardian and conservatorship matters.

Representative Experience

• Obtained several favorable judgments and dismissals on summary judgment and on initial motions to dismiss
• Assisted in obtaining favorable settlements for clients through the mediation process
• Assist clients in obtaining and resisting guardianships and/or contested and non-contested conservatorships across Nebraska
• Obtained a favorable jury verdict for a construction client in a week-long jury trial involving a cancellation of contract
