Biography

Kalen is a valued member of the business and corporate practice group at the firm. She is involved in various business and corporate areas, but principally focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions and business tax matters. Kalen has assisted closely held businesses in structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing transactions, including purchases and sales, redemptions, and corporate reorganizations. With respect to her tax practice, she advises clients with respect to tax-efficient solutions in connection with both corporate and pass-through entity tax matters.

She is a versatile attorney who has also contributed to the firm’s Banking/Finance practice by supporting lenders and borrowers in various commercial lending and finance deals. Additionally, she has experience in drafting diverse business contracts, including employee incentive plans and agreements, as well as various service contracts.
