Biography

Julie Schultz Self advises clients on a wide-range of business and employment matters including sexual harassment, discrimination, wage disputes, unemployment claims, disciplinary concerns, and compliance with state and federal employment laws. She counsels employers regarding “best practices” and assists in creating commission plans, bonus structures, performance improvement plans, employee handbooks, employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, and separation agreements. Julie provides hands-on, detailed guidance with respect to a multitude of employment law issues. Additionally, she conducts training sessions for management and staff on various employment topics, and is a regular author and speaker on these subjects.

Representative Experience

• More than 20 years experience counseling employers of all sizes – from international, publicly-traded companies to very small, family-operated businesses regarding all aspects of employment law.
• Advises employers in defending against employee complaints, both formal and informal, regarding wage payment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, harassment and related issues.
• Proactively creates workplace solutions to assist employers in managing workforce and complying with employment law requirements.
