Biography
Claire Monroe is part of the firm’s litigation and trial practice group as well as the labor and employment group. She aids clients in various commercial and business litigation issues such as breach of contract, construction, trucking, employment disputes, alleged civil rights violations, evictions, and insurance disputes. Claire guides clients through every step of the litigation process, from initiating proceedings and carrying out discovery to participating in trials and navigating the appellate process.
Representative Experience
- Obtained complete dismissal of OSHA retaliation and Surface Transportation Assistance Act claims on a motion to dismiss.
- Successfully opposed motion for temporary injunction in breach of contract matter.
- Obtained several favorable judgments for landlords in eviction proceedings.
- Successfully defended political subdivision in bifurcated bench trial on liability in personal injury action.
- Assisted in obtaining favorable settlements for clients through the mediation process.
