Biography

Chloe Kuehner is a member of the firm’s litigation and trial practice group. She assists clients with commercial and business litigation matters, including contract disputes, trust and estate disputes, employment law, negligence, fraud, and insurance disputes. Chloe helps clients through all stages of the litigation process, from initial negotiations to commencing litigation, providing defense, conducting discovery, and participating in trial or mediation.

Chloe is also a member of the firm’s labor and employment group. She works with clients to develop employee handbooks as well as employment and independent contractor agreements, confidentiality agreements and separation agreements. She also counsels clients on a variety of issues including harassment, discrimination, wage and hour disputes, and the requirements of numerous state and federal employment laws. Chloe assists corporate clients in defending against employment claims such as discrimination, wrongful termination, and retaliation.

Representative Experience

• Second chair plaintiff’s counsel in a one-week jury trial. Client received a favorable jury verdict on numerous undue influence claims in relation to will and trust agreements.
• Obtained favorable jury verdict for construction client in a jury trial involving breach of contract claim.
• Obtained order granting partial summary judgment in clients’ favor for multiple breaches of contract and violation of the Nebraska Uniform Commercial Code. Clients were awarded attorneys’ fees.
• Obtained complete dismissal of claims under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and the Nebraska Political Subdivisions Tort Claims Act filed against law enforcement officer and city attorney in their official and individual capacities.
