Biography

Brenda Smith specializes in handling commercial and business litigation issues, collaborating with clients to resolve a variety of disputes like contract breaches, negligence, fraud, insurance conflicts, transportation issues, and construction disputes, and probate and trust disputes. She holds the position of Treasurer on the Firm’s Executive Committee, playing a pivotal role in overseeing the firm’s overall management by setting strategic goals and direction. Moreover, she supervises retained insurance counsel nationwide, serving as general counsel to various clients. As national and general counsel, Brenda guides clients on litigation strategies and takes a hands-on approach in managing cases from the beginning until resolution.

Representative Experience

• Represented oppressed minority shareholders and obtained a verdict in excess of $1,000,000, which included damages and attorney fees.
• Represented a trustee in a lawsuit where alleged damages totaled more than $7,000,000.
• Represented trucking companies in resolution of disputes involving catastrophic and serious injuries
• Represented various construction companies in litigation, governmental agency actions, and other dispute matters.
• Represented the guardian and conservator of the ward at trial and appellate courts in a highly contested probate proceeding.
