Janelle Patton is a member of the firm’s Business and Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Tax practice groups. She works with clients to identify opportunities and personalize solutions for their business. Her practice is primarily focused on mergers and acquisitions of both public and private companies, corporate reorganizations, entity formation and structuring for non-profit and for-profit organizations, and the tax implications of various corporate transactions. In addition, she assists clients with federal and state tax reporting matters, business succession planning, corporate governance, and the drafting and review of business contracts.
Represented and advised clients on complex tax issues related to, among others, tax-free reorganizations and restructurings, like-kind exchanges, and equity compensation.
Represented and advised for-profit and non-profit business organizations in formation, regulatory, and structuring matters.
